Duff thanks fans
Hilary Duff is grateful for all the love and support fans have sent her.
The star announced the end of her three-year-marriage to the hockey player last week, and insisted it was an amicable breakup.
And Hilary, who recently surpassed seven million fans on Facebook, says she is deeply appreciative of all the well-wishes she’s received.
“Hi babies that I have followed recently! Love how you guys are so supportive and loving!its an HD love fest buuuut I can camp on twitter all day so please don't get upset if I can meet all your needs :( a got a little nugget to take care of and work! But I love you guys so much,” she tweeted (sic).
Hilary and Mike have one child - 21-month-old son Luca.
Although the couple have publicly declared they will remain friends, reports indicate Hilary felt Mike didn’t care about their union anymore.
"She felt he didn't put enough effort into the relationship," a source told Us Weekly magazine. "Recently he wasn't doing any of the things they'd worked on.”
One of the issues the couple faced was apparently Mike’s struggle to handle his life when forced to retire due to an injury.
Hilary apparently felt they were better off just being friends and co-parents than husband and wife.
"The spark was no longer there," another insider claimed.
