Duke and Duchess ‘carried away at White House’
Prince William and his wife Catherine Middleton have reportedly gushed about spending time in America’s capital city.
Prince William and his wife Catherine Middleton are currently touring the East Coast of America, having landed in New York City Sunday.
The British Royals visited with Bill, Hillary Clinton and their daughter Chelsea at an official function hosted by the Royal Foundation and the Clinton Foundation at the British Consul General’s residence in the Big Apple on Monday. And apparently Prince William spoke of how impressed he is with the White House in Washington D.C at the event.
"I had a great day today at the White House, I got a bit carried away…," he is quoted as saying by UK newspaper The Telegraph.
It is quite cold in New York and Washington D.C. right now.
But apparently Prince William appreciates the cooler weather.
"I love it. Normally when we go anywhere we go somewhere hot,” he reportedly said.
"We're going to the Empire State Building tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to that, it's going to be great fun."
Iconic landmark the Empire State building gave the royals a warm welcome by lighting up the top of the edifice with red, white and blue, the colours of Britain’s flag.
The Duchess of Cambridge Catherine went to visit Harlem schoolchildren with America’s First Lady, Michelle Obama, Monday.
She and her husband are also expected to attend a Brooklyn Nets basketball game, they are reportedly planning on meeting Jay-Z and Beyoncé Knowles.
Catherine is currently five months pregnant with her and William’s second child.
