Duncan’s family to investigate fiancée
The family of late actor Michael Clarke Duncan have hired attorneys to investigate the circumstances surrounding the alleged changing of his will to benefit his former fiancée Omarosa Manigault.
TMZ reports the Green Mile star’s sister Judy Duncan desires to make further enquiries about his fiancée, TV personality Omarosa Manigault, being named the Oscar nominee’s main beneficiary.
She is questioning whether ”the late actor's fiancée unduly influenced him into rewriting his will months before he died and leaving almost everything to her,” according to the website.
The Oscar winning actor died last September, aged 54, two months after suffering a heart attack.
The actor allegedly changed his will in April 2012, but TMZ reports Judy believes her brother was “not of sound mind” when he made the alterations.
She stated that as early as December 2011, the actor was not himself, slurring words and stumbling around.
Judy, who was left $100,000 in Michael’s will claims she became more suspicious of Omarosa after Michael was hospitalised in July following his heart attack.
She claims Omarosa was fixated on the actor’s money when he was on life support.
Judy is also reportedly annoyed with Omarosa’s decision to sell many of Michael’s personal effects including watches, cars and his Green Mile director’s chair, without the family’s knowledge.
Omarosa responded by denying she has any command over Michael’s estate.
"I don't control the estate or the finances and Judy knows it,” she said.
“If you saw all of her emails and texts to me you would see that she is just trying to get money from me, and threatened going to press if I did not give it to her and that is a crime.”
Omarosa, who recently starred on Celebrity Apprentice in the US, began dating Michael in 2010.
The pair were secretly engaged and planned to marry early this year.
