Dwayne Johnson: I smash treat foods

Dwayne Johnson

Dwayne Johnson has no trouble consuming mountains of junk food on his "cheat days".

The actor-and-wrestler, also known as The Rock, is famed for his hulking physique and works hard to keep in shape.

Now and again he allows himself "cheat days" where he can eat whatever he likes, famously sharing pictures of mountains of food with his Twitter followers.

The G.I. Joe: Retaliation star assured Entertainment Tonight he has no problem consuming platefuls of unhealthy treats.

"It includes at least a dozen pancakes... four pizzas... two dozen brownies and [I] dominate everything," he told the website.

In G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Dwayne plays muscly Roadblock, alongside Bruce Willis, D.J. Cotrona and Adrianne Palicki.

A lot of work went into accurately portraying his character.

"The prep for this was... anywhere between 11 to 14 weeks, [consisting of] diet, conditioning, [and] training," he explained.

"We already had an established brand of Roadblock in the cartoon... so the look of Roadblock - no one looked like that guy - so it was important to work my ass off and work the part."

Newcomer D.J. has previously admitted he felt dwarfed by action heroes Bruce and Dwayne on set.

Whereas The Rock's muscles would intimidate many guys, the man himself also has people he looks up to.

"To work with [Bruce] on this movie, I'm so grateful," he gushed.

"I'm just so grateful of that advice... because unbeknownst to him what the advice meant to me, to get that type of support from, at that time, one of the world's biggest movie stars... just says a lot about his character, and I appreciate that."
