Dwayne Johnson's mom survives crash
Dwayne Johnson has shared the news his mother and cousin survived a car collision with a drunk driver.
The former pro wrestler revealed the shocking news on his Facebook page last night and even added a photo of the accident.
The road collision took place last week, with Dwayne admitting when he first heard the news all he could think about was extracting revenge on the person who caused the crash.
"My mom [Ata Johnson] and cousin (Lina Fanene) were struck head on by a drunk driver this week - they survived," Dwayne posted on his social network account.
"My first reaction was to find the person who did this and do unrelenting harm to them. But then you realize the most important thing is that my family lived thru this and we can hug each other that much tighter these days. (sic)"
More than 1.5million fans liked the post, with tens of thousands flocking to offer words of comfort.
Facebook user Nikki Barker was one of the first to respond and shared with Dwayne a heartfelt message.
"I wish my Dad would have been so lucky to survive. He was in a drunk driving accident (he was not drinking) and was the only one that was killed (everyone else was drunk and survived). This happened when I was 2, I am now 34 and not a day goes by that I don't think of my father and what he would have been like had I really gotten to know him. God Bless your family and I am so happy to hear they survived (sic)" Nikki wrote, to which she received 16,000 likes.
The 42-year-old actor also took to his Twitter account, urging followers to think before they get behind the wheel drunk.
"My mom and cousin were hit head on by a drunk driver. They lived. This was 100% preventable. #ChoicesMatter (sic)," he shared.
