Elijah: I’m not a fighter
Elijah Wood doesn't see the point in fighting his battles.
The star has played everything from good-natured Frodo Baggins in The Lord of the Rings franchise to a crazed serial killer in Maniac.
In real life, 33-year-old has a sly approach when dealing with conflict.
"I'm not really one to approach anything from a fighting standpoint," he admitted to Total Film magazine.
"I'll always go for a sneak attack rather than battling something head on."
Elijah now also works as a producer and upcoming projects include Harrow, It Was Cruel and The Home. Things are going from strength to strength and the star knows how privileged he is.
"I feel extremely lucky," he smiled. "I hope I never take anything for granted.
"I'm 33 and I've been working as an actor since I was eight. In some ways I feel like the last few years have been the most exciting for me."
The Lord of the Rings shot Elijah into mega stardom and he returned as Frodo in the first of The Hobbit franchise. Rather than shake off his association with the Middle Earth movies, he embraces it.
"I'm always happy to talk about my work," he said.
"People always assume that I'll get annoyed when anyone brings up The Lord of the Rings but I love it as much as anyone else!"
Elijah is currently filming action fantasy The Last Witch Hunter alongside Vin Diesel and Michael Caine.
