Mad Men actress Elisabeth Moss believes her appearance saves her from the type of major fame she doesn’t want.

The Mad Men actress believes that because of her average looks she will not have to face huge interest in her personal life.

She doesn’t view herself as ugly but suspects her appearance has something to do with her scale of celebrity.

"I'm not saying I'm not beautiful, but I'm not Megan Fox,” she told The Guardian newspaper. “I'm just not that girl. I will never be the lead in Transformers. I'm safe from that kind of stardom."

The 30-year-old is happy to go under the radar sometimes.

While she understands some people get popular by accident in her industry, she acknowledges that many can control how big their image gets.

"I have no desire to be somebody that is recognisable all the time," she confessed. "There might be some big, huge movie star who feels like I do and just happened to get really famous and then what are you going to do?

“But with people who are actually successful and working I feel like it's really rare to find someone who just wants to be famous. I'm not talking about the Kardashians, who by the way I adore and watch their show and love it."

While stars such as Kim Kardashian are constantly in the spotlight, Elisabeth takes a more relaxed approach to work.

She would like to develop and expand her acting experience but doesn’t want to burn out.

"There are certain people I want to work with and certain things I want to do but I'm not one of those people that's hungry and has to work all the time," she commented. "I look at those people and I'm like, aren't you tired? Don't you want to take a break?"
