Elisabeth Moss: I wanted to sing
Elisabeth Moss contemplated becoming a country singer when she was younger.
The Mad Men star is also known for her roles in Get Him to the Greek, On the Road and Girl, Interrupted. While the 32-year-old actress has been in the business since she was a child, it wasn’t always her plan.
“I contemplated being a country singer when I was about 11 years old,” she told Us Weekly.
Despite contemplating a different career path, Elisabeth, who has starred on Mad Men since 2007, “loves TV” and watches “a lot of it”.
The star opened up to Us Weekly about her likes and dislikes. She enjoys “travelling alone” and thinks of red wine as her “friend”. She has her pajamas dry cleaned so they stay “soft and perfect” and “loves” showers.
“[I] take them twice a day,” the Listen Up Philip star admitted, adding a few things she doesn’t like, including tea. The actress’s least favourite thing is “having to get up early”.
The American star has been acting since appearing in the TV movie Bar Girls in 1990, but it was her roles in hit television shows including The West Wing and Mad Men that really launched her career. But before Elisabeth became an actress, she was a dancer.
“I always took it seriously. Being a ballet dancer, you take things really seriously at a young age,” she told Variety earlier this year. “By 11 years old, you’re thinking about what company you want to get into and where you’re going to spend the rest of your life.”
