Elisabeth Moss struggling with Mad Men end
Elisabeth Moss says it's "crazy" to think about Mad Men coming to an end.
The actress plays Peggy Olson in the award-winning US TV show which follows an advertising agency in New York City during the '60s. The cast and crew are currently busy shooting episodes for the hotly-anticipated sixth season. Mad Men is expected to finish after season seven, and Elisabeth admits the prospect is overwhelming.
"We're half way through the [sixth] season. It's crazy… and we're gearing up for the end, really. We've got 20 episodes left to film of Mad Men in its entirety," she told Access Hollywood at the Sundance Film Festival.
The 30-year-old star is already feeling "emotional" about leaving her character behind. Peggy has had a memorable journey during the show, transforming from a naïve secretary to confident copywriter, and Elisabeth is proud to have played the role.
"It's very emotional, obviously. It's something that you can't almost - it doesn't feel real that we're not going be doing it anymore, but at the same time, it's a little too soon to start talking about that," she laughed. "There's a lot of work to be done. We're not quite there yet, but this has been one of the greatest experiences of my life, that show. So it's gonna be a real end of a journey."
Season six of Mad Men is due to air in the US in April.
