Elizabeth Olsen ‘splits from fiancé’
Elizabeth Olsen has reportedly broken up with her actor fiancé Boyd Holbrook.
The 25-year-old actress, best known for her work in Godzilla and Silent House, had been engaged since March 2014. And it’s now reported they’ve decided to call it quits on their relationship.
Elizabeth was spotted this weekend at a Los Angeles farmers’ market without her engagement ring, Us Weekly has told. Prior to this, Boyd was apparently seen “flirting” with other girls at a pre-Golden Globe Awards party at lush West Hollywood hot spot Soho House earlier this month.
The couple began dating after they co-starred in American drama film Very Good Girls, which also featured Dakota Fanning, Demi Moore and Richard Dreyfuss.
They were together for three years before becoming engaged to be married. Us claimed last March that they had furthered their relationship by moving into a New York apartment together.
Elizabeth even spoke about her love in May of last year, admitting she wasn’t in the least bit nervous about her impending nuptials.
"I'm relaxed about it, but I am excited and planning ideas because it's fun—it's just like throwing a party to celebrate life,” she told Marie Claire UK. "I love being in a relationship a lot."
At the time, her famous older sister Mary-Kate had also just become engaged to her love Olivier Sarkozy. Giggling about the timing, Elizabeth said there was no sibling rivalry with regards to wedding dates.
“No, I just told her she gets to pick a date first!” the actress smiled.
Boyd is a 33-year-old Kentucky native, who most recently starred as Cary James in Behind the Candelabra.
