Elle Fanning values education

Elle Fanning has a teacher on set so she doesn't miss out on her education.

The teenage actress is one of the hottest young stars in film right now, with huge roles in Super 8 and We Bought a Zoo under her belt.

But like her older sister Dakota, Elle places as much importance on her studying as she does her burgeoning movie career.

"I've got two years left of school and I want to go to college to study photography and writing. I have a teacher on set, so I'll film all day and then do my school work. It's hard juggling it all but my sister is at New York University and is balancing it," Elle told British magazine Grazia.

"I wouldn't want to take time out from acting because it's such a prime point in my career."

Her latest star turn is in Disney's Maleficent, opposite Hollywood heavyweight Angelina Jolie.

The movie is based on the classic tale of Sleeping Beauty, but is this time told from the villain's viewpoint. When Elle landed the part of Princess Aurora she was over the moon, but the thought of meeting Angelina scared her.

"I couldn't believe it when I got the part. I made myself feel sick on the car journey home because I couldn't stop reading the script," she laughed.

"I'll never forget meeting Angelina for the first time. We were doing rehearsals and everyone was like, 'Angelina's here.' I freaked out, but when she arrived she was just a lady in jeans. She gave me a big hug and said, 'We're going to have so much fun.'"
