Ellen trespasser pleads no contest
A woman who was arrested outside Ellen DeGeneres' home has been placed on probation for three years after pleading no contest to misdemeanour trespassing.
A spokeswoman for Los Angeles County's District Attorney said Karen Grace Sjoden entered the plea during a hearing on Monday in Beverly Hills.
Sjoden was arrested early on February 10 outside the comedian and talk show host's home and had chosen to represent herself The 50-year-old has been jailed since then.
Authorities say Sjoden will be placed on three years of informal probation and was ordered to stay 100 yards away from Ellen and her wife, actress Portia DeGeneres.
Sjoden's plea and sentence were first reported on Monday by the celebrity website RadarOnline.com.
