Ellis-Bextor's Strictly wobble

Sophie Ellis-Bextor has said she had to think before saying yes to Strictly Come Dancing because she was worried about losing the nice life she'd built up.

The Murder On The Dancefloor singer eventually came fourth in the BBC dancing contest and said she was convinced with a little help from her friends.

She said: "I don't know if I needed persuading to do it, but I certainly had to think about it for a bit. My friends really love Strictly, so that was the decider.

"I knew it would be a big undertaking and that it would change things for me, so I wanted to make sure I'd be happy with that.

"I have a nice life and I've been having a good time these last few years, so I didn't want to lose any of that. But it was really lovely and I'm very glad I did it."
