Emma Roberts: I was constantly in trouble as child

Emma Roberts frequently got into trouble as a youngster and still has an immature side.

The actress, who calls Julia Roberts aunt, admits she was sometimes problematic for her family.

The 22-year-old confessed to regularly being punished at school and by her parents for her shenanigans.

“I had to wear a school uniform and I loved it,” she revealed to Us Weekly. “In school, I was constantly in detention for being late. Now I'm always five minutes early.”

Emma currently stars as an unruly teenager in We Are The Millers, alongside Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis.

While she found fame as a child actress, she tried attending an all-girls school for a year and enrolled at Sarah Lawrence College for only six weeks.

Emma recalled getting a tap on the wrist from her mother when she broke the rules.

“When I was 16 I pierced my belly button,” she shared. “My mom found out during a family trip to Disneyland. It was not the Happiest Place on Earth that day!”

While she is a grown-up now, Emma explained it took a while for her to reach maturity.

She keeps home comforts around and engaged in childish conduct until her teenage years.

“When I was 12, I cried after not getting the role of Wendy in the film Peter Pan. I sucked my thumb until the age of 12,” she said. “I still wear Invisalign because of it.

“I still have Steve, my baby blanket. Nobody knows why I named him that, including me.”

Emma was arrested in Montreal on July 7 for allegedly attacking her boyfriend Evan Peters, bloodying his nose and leaving him with bite marks.

She is not facing charges in the alleged incident.
