Emma Roberts' rep.: Arrest was unfortunate
Emma Roberts' representative says the actress' dispute with boyfriend Evan Peters was simply a "misunderstanding".
The 22-year-old actress was taken into custody in Montreal, Canada July 7 after reportedly bloodying boyfriend Evan Peters' nose and leaving the actor with bite marks.
News of the altercation broke Tuesday on TMZ.
Emma's spokesperson has now come forward give credence to the claims.
The representative said prosecutors have dropped any charges against the actress.
"It was an unfortunate incident and misunderstanding," the spokesperson told Entertainment Tonight.
Apparently the couple have decided to remain together.
"Ms. Roberts was released after questioning and the couple are working together to move past it," the statement continued.
The Montreal Police Department has not released any further details about the dispute.
Apparently authorities were called to the couple's hotel room after a loud argument was reported.
Evan, 26, was found with a bloody nose upon their arrival, TMZ claimed.
Emma was taken into custody immediately and is not believed to have sustained any serious injuries.
Evan and Emma reportedly began dating in the spring of 2012.
The couple co-star in this year's Scott Coffey comedy Adult World.
The actress has been previously romantically linked to Chord Overstreet and Alex Pettyfer.
