Emma Watson graduates

Emma Watson graduated from Brown University on Sunday.

The actress posted a picture of herself wearing a cap and gown with just an exclamation mark for a caption.

Emma, 24, is walking away with a bachelor’s degree in English literature. She also studied at Oxford University and continued to work while studying, reports E! News.

The British star also took a year off in 2011, but was determined to finish her education off properly. Emma admitted she found it challenging going to university when everyone know who she was and would scrutinise her.

"On the first day, I walked into the canteen and everyone went completely silent and turned to look at me," she told The Sunday Times in March. "I had to say to myself, 'It's okay, you can do this. You just have to take a deep breath and gather your courage.'"

“I was in denial," she added in a 2011 interview. "I wanted to pretend I wasn't as famous as I was. I was trying to seek out normality, but I kind of have to accept who I am, the position I'm in and what happened."

Despite a bumpy start, Emma came to love the university and her fellow students. Although her arrival caused a sensation, she was soon accepted as just another member of the college.

"Brown has a real sense of community, and people are very protective of me. They really look out for me; they want me to feel like I'm part of it," she previously told Marie Claire magazine. “I threw my 20th birthday party at Brown, and I didn't even have to say to anyone not to put pictures on Facebook. Not a single picture went up. That was when I knew I'd found a solid group of friends, and I felt like I belonged."
