Emmerdale's fetching farmer Moira Barton– who is played by Natalie J. Robb – is to find out she is pregnant with boyfriend Cain Dingle's (Jeff Hordley) baby, but the couple will be dealt a crushing blow when they are told she has miscarried.

The drama occurs when Moira goes for a walk with Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) and finds herself in extreme pain. Chas calls the ambulance and Moira confesses she is expecting, but later in the hospital she is given the terrible news.

Cain is left extremely upset when he is told the tragic news and he angrily hits out at Moira telling her she should be pleased because that is what she wanted all along.

Before the drama unfolds, Moira was on edge about telling Cain she is expecting his child but he is delighted when she informs him they are going to be parents.

As a result of her concern, Cain thinks Moira doesn't really want to have his baby, even though she is secretly delighted at the prospect of having a little one, which prompts his angry reaction when they hear she has miscarried.
