Ennis: Strictly live TV scares me

Jessica Ennis has said she'd love to do Strictly Come Dancing but would be terrified of being watched by millions.

The Olympics golden girl told The Sun she'd love the challenge of following in fellow competitor Louis Smith's footsteps, but that live TV performances scared her - despite having won gold in the London 2012 heptathlon in front of viewers worldwide.

She said: "I'm a big fan of Strictly and I thought Louis did amazingly well. I'd love to do it but think when it came to dancing live on TV I'd be terrified and probably rubbish.

"I like to believe I've got some sort of rhythm but I think learning a completely new set of skills and doing the dances would be incredibly difficult and a real challenge but it would be one I'd enjoy."

Jess, who married fiance Andy Hill in May, said she was spending her time preparing for upcoming competitions.

"I don't really have any solid plans at the moment other than preparing for the world championships later this year then defending my title in Rio in 2016."
