Eva Green was "maybe a bit pretentious" when she was growing up.
The French star looks back on her school days fondly, although she wonders what her classmates made of her.
Just like at any school, hormones were raging, but Eva couldn't take her peers' love lives seriously.
"[When people would flirt] I felt as if they were playing at being couples, playing at being in love," she told British newspaper The Telegraph. "I wanted the real thing. I was maybe a bit pretentious."
The 31-year-old star occasionally fears she doesn't relax enough. She has always been that way though and isn't sure how to change herself.
"I've never been young," she revealed. "Sometimes I'm young when I'm drunk but I think too much. I feel as if I'm floating, sort of daydreaming, not living my life fully. I wish I could be more what's that book? The Power of Now. I should read that!"
As part of her serious demeanour, Eva doesn't go out that much.
"I never went clubbing. Ever," she said. "You can't talk, it's so loud. Men get to you and it's like, 'I don't know you.' No. No."
