Eva: I don’t need kids
Eva Longoria doesn’t feel pressure to have children.
The Desperate Housewives star doesn’t believe she “must procreate” and has no intention of having children just for the sake of it.
“No, I’m not one of those women that’s like, ‘Oh I must procreate!’” she revealed on Access Hollywood Live. “So, no. I think kids are a product of love, so if you find the right person and you want to have a family with that person then that’s when the time is right.”
Eva goes on to say if she never has children, it won’t make her sad. And she has no intention of being an older mother no matter what happens.
“I don’t think if I’m 50 and single – I’m not going to go and [have a baby] by myself,” she said.
Eva was married to General Hospital star Tyler Christopher from 2002 until 2004 and basketball player Tony Parker between 2007 and 2011. After two failed marriages, the 38-year-old is in no hurry to tie the knot again. But if the right guy comes along, she is open to being in a relationship again.
“I’ve been married twice, so that’s been there, done that!” she joked. While Eva says she has dated “all different kinds of types of men” there are a few factors important to her.
“[Being] funny is important, you know. [And being] educated is important to me,” she said.
