Eva Longoria "cried [her] eyes out" as she finished shooting her final scenes for Desperate Housewives.
The actress has made no secret of her sadness at the show ending after eight years. She took to her Twitter account today to reveal how upset she was once filming had wrapped for the last time on Thursday.
Eva revealed she and her co-star Marcia Cross were in tears at the end of an emotional day on set.
"Me and the beautiful Marcia Cross! Crying our eyes out!" she tweeted and added a photograph of the pair hugging as they sat at a table.
Eva - who plays spoilt housewife Gabrielle Solis - also paid tribute to Felicity Huffman. The 37-year-old beauty praised her co-star for being a tower of strength while they had worked together on the popular show.
"Me and @FelicityHuffman holding each other so tight! She kept me standing for the last 8 years! I love u Flicka (sic)," she added on her Twitter account.
"That's a wrap! End of an era."
Marcia also posted messages on her Twitter page to mark the end of the show.
The actress admitted she was feeling overwhelmed at the prospect of shooting her final scenes as uptight Bree van de Kamp.
"cannot believe this is the last time i will go to bed and wake to work on Desperate Housewives...last day tomorrow. xo m (sic)," she wrote on Wednesday.
