Actress Eva Longoria is engaged to Jose Antonio Baston.

The former Desperate Housewives star took to her twitter on Sunday (13Dec15) to tell fans that Jose had popped the question. In a touching message to her 7.34 million fans, 40-year-old Eva let everyone in on the good news.

"Ummmm so this happened....#Engaged #Dubai #Happiness" she posted next to a snap of her and Jose kissing in the Dubai desert.

The star showed off an impressive ring, made of diamonds and a ruby, after earlier telling fans how much she was enjoying her time away.

"Wouldn't be the #Dubai desert without the camels!.

"Good morning #Dubai."

Eva and Jose, 47, have been dating since 2013.

"He's been sweeping her off her feet and courting her like a proper gentleman," a source told People when the romance first started.

A year later in 2014 Eva spoke to the publication about what she loved about her man.

"I'm attracted to humor and intellect in a man," she gushed. "Let me tell you, I'm very lucky in my life."

Eva was previously married to basketball player Tony Parker from 2007 - 2011. They split amid rumours he had been texting a family friend inappropriate messages.

Earlier this year (15) it was reported the former couple had sorted out their differences.

"Eva and Tony have let bygones be bygones," a source told American OK! "Eva's in a great place in her life. That's why she was able to put their nasty split to rest. Plus she's a huge Spurs fan."

Eva was also wed to actor Tyler Christopher from 2002 - 2004.
