Eva Longoria says making movies is like taking a "vacation".

The actress is famed for her role as Gabrielle Solis on hit TV show Desperate Housewives, which recently ended after its eighth season.

Eva has turned her attention back to the big screen, with two movies out this year and two in the works.

The star says shooting films is a less arduous task by far.

"I miss the consistency of going to work. Same people, same routine," she said of her Desperate Housewives exit, before revealing the perks of making movies.

"On a television show, you basically make a movie a week. Movies take three months - it's crazy. They're so slow, it's like vacation to me."

Eva has an impressively varied career and has no preference for comedy or drama films. She is also serving as an executive producer on new Lifetime soap Devious Maids as well as a dating show for NBC titled Ready for Love.

"I'm an overlapper," she smiled, when asked about her different projects.

Your Horoscopes by Russell Grant

Aries:

You must be decisive. Don't leave your Fate in the hands of others. If you need more money, ask for a raise. Are you dissatisfied with a relationship? Issue an ultimatum. Are you perturbed by an ethical matter? Speak on behalf of justice. People will be uncomfortable with your dramatic behaviour, but they will respond to it. Waiting for a miracle to arrive simply isn't wise. When you want to make a change, you have to take action, even at the risk of being unpopular.More
