Eva Mendes attends beauty event after welcoming second child

Eva Mendes has made her first appearance since giving birth to her second child.
The 42-year-old actress welcomed daughter Amada Lee Gosling, her second daughter with boyfriend Ryan Gosling, on 29 April (16). And Eva appears to be adjusting to life as a mother-of-two extremely well, judging by images of her at an event in Los Angeles held for her beauty brand CIRCA Beauty on Thursday night (16Jun16)..
The Hitch actress looked stunning in a button down floral tea dress for the occasion, and seems to have already sprung back into shape. The event, held at The London West Hollywood in Beverly Hills, saw Eva mingle with beauty writers and bloggers, and even pose with some in a photo booth set up inside the venue.
Later, Eva tied her brunette hair back into a ponytail as she was interviewed by several writers.
The low-key appearance is typical of Eva's style, as the actress' pregnancy wasn't even revealed until April, with the birth then hitting headlines in May after TMZ.com obtained a birth certificate.
Little Amada was born at Providence St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica, California, with Eva De La Caridad Mendez listed as the newborn's mum and Ryan Thomas Gosling the father.
The Notebook hunk Ryan then acknowledged the baby news during a brief chat with Entertainment Tonight reporter Cameron Mathison at the Hollywood premiere of his new movie The Nice Guys.
"We at ET want to say congratulations on your new baby girl," Cameron shared with the star. "That's a beautiful thing."
Smiling widely, the new dad couldn't hide his excitement as he expressed his gratitude for the warm wishes, replying, "Well thank you very much. Thank you."
Eva and Ryan are also parents to 21-month-old Esmeralda Amada.
The actress previously revealed that her own upbringing has taught her just how much is involved in being a parent.
"I cannot believe that by the time my mother was 24 she had three kids under the age of four," Eva told Violet Grey's digital publication, The Violet Files. "She was in Cuba and totally alone. So when it's the wee hours of the night and I'm feeling a bit insane I think about her and realise that I have no right to complain about anything."
