Eva Mendes 'is certain she's having boy'
Eva Mendes apparently thinks the baby she is reportedly expecting with Ryan Gosling is a boy.
Last week it was reported that the 40-year-old actress is currently seven months pregnant with the couple's first child. They are yet to confirm it, but after the American edition of OK! magazine broke the news many other outlets claimed their sources had confirmed it.
The pair are said to be busy planning for their new arrival, with names top of the list. At the moment they don't know the sex of their baby, so have selected a range of names. Thomas is top for a boy, as it is Ryan's middle name. If the tot is a girl she will likely be called Donna, which is the 33-year-old actor's mom's name, or Coral - a nod to Eva's mother's maiden name Corrales.
Although nothing has been confirmed, Eva is apparently sure she is expecting a son.
"Her bump sticks out more in the front than sideways and she thinks that means she's carrying a boy," an insider told the American edition of OK! magazine.
The news the couple are apparently expecting came as something of a surprise as their relationship has been up and down over the years. They met in 2011 while shooting The Place Beyond the Pines and were quickly beset by engagement rumours. It's been claimed that Eva was also sure Ryan was going to pop the question, and when he didn't she even issued him an ultimatum about getting serious.
"Eva and Ryan have one of those passionate, feisty relationships," the insider said. "They've broken up more than once over his refusal to commit. But to Eva, the baby is the first priority."
The pair were thought to have gone their separate ways last year, but Ryan apparently managed to win Eva back and shortly afterwards she fell pregnant.
