Evan Rachel Wood ready for motherhood

Evan Rachel Wood

Evan Rachel Wood admits pregnancy hasn’t been easy, but she is feeling calmer now.

The 25-year-old actress is expecting her first child with husband Jamie Bell. While Evan is looking forward to welcoming the baby into the world, she admits it hasn’t been a straightforward experience.

"It’s been a whirlwind roller coaster, it’s been amazing. [But] it’s not easy,” she told the Huffington Post at the Tribeca Film Festival. "I’ve been through the gamut of like fear and excitement, but now I’m very calm and very ready. I feel really good.

"I was excited once I popped because it’s really something you can hold and be proud of and I’ve just kind of embraced all the mini changes that happen, so I’m enjoying it."

Evan went on to discuss her pregnancy cravings, revealing she couldn’t stop eating vinegar-soaked snacks.

“I’ve been really tired and gone through different cravings, but nothing really weird has happened," she explained. "Pickled onions may be the weirdest thing I’ve craved. Oh man, I couldn’t get enough pickled onions."

Evan is due to give birth in the summer and although she knows the sex of her baby she is keeping it a secret. The star has been busy making plans for the baby’s room, which will have a laidback feel.

"I am designing the nursery right now. It’s going to have kind of like a Bohemian, Indian kind of theme to it," she added. "I figured I’m probably going to have to spend a lot of time in here - it's not going to know what’s going on - so might as well."

Sorting out and organising your surroundings should be your first priority. As a general rule, you don't mind an untidy workspace. As far as you're concerned, messiness is a sign of genius. There comes a point when even the most talented person has to make order from chaos. It may take a few hours to sort through all the papers that have accumulated, but take heart. Once you dispose the junk, you'll be able to zip through chores like a hot knife through butter.More
