Eve Myles' Uma Thurman mistake

Eve Myles has revealed she accidentally called Uma Thurman 'Urman Thurman' at a posh drinks party.

The Torchwood star was out at a party in Los Angeles, where they filmed part of the fourth series Miracle Day, and found herself in front of the Hollywood actress - after having a few drinks.

"I bumped into Dustin Hoffman, and there was Uma Thurman. I had a couple of glasses of wine by then and kept on calling her 'Urman Thurman', which went down like a lead balloon, and my fiance will not let me live that one down," she said.

Eve had to relocate to the States for eight months with fiance Bradley Freegard and their daughter Matilda.

"It was pretty extraordinary. It was very stressful at the beginning because I have a little baby and a family, and it was such a huge upheaval," she recalled.

"But I took it day by day and it became one of the best times of my life. There isn't a second I didn't cherish. I've been so lucky to work on the same stage as Casablanca, A Star Is Born and where Judy Garland and the Rat Pack did their movies. It was magical."

Asked if she had turned into a Tinseltown luvvie, she quipped: "Good God no! My beagle has though. She demands blueberry facials and smokes a pipe. I don't know who she is any more. Outrageous!"
