Former rugby star Thom Evans has competed in the scottishathletics National Senior Indoor Championships - watched by his partner actress and model Kelly Brook.

The 26-year-old took part in the 60 metres sprint in the event held at Glasgow's Kelvin Hall, while Miss Brook sat in the stands to watch.

Evans has been exploring athletics since his recovery from the severe neck injury in Wales two years ago which cut short his rugby career.

Today's event was the first time the former Scotland international has raced north of the border.

He is working with coach Margot Wells, the wife of Scottish Olympic gold medallist Allan, and would eventually like to compete in the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
