Facinelli lands Odyssey
Peter Facinelli is starring in NBC’s new pilot, Odyssey.
The former Twilight Saga actor has landed a pilot for the US network’s pilot Odyssey, according to Deadline.
The website reports Peter’s character is a “disillusioned corporate attorney” who is pulled into a military conspiracy with two other families.
Anna Friel will play a stranded female soldier in the drama, while Jake Robinson depicts a disrespected political activist.
Peter Horton is co-writing and directing the project, which has not yet released a production schedule.
Facinelli can next be seen in comedy drama Walter, about a ticket-taker at a local cinema who decides he’s the son of God and believes he decides the fate of everyone he comes into contact with.
The actor is also working on a novel at the moment.
In a post on his official website last year, Peter revealed plans to team up with his A7SLE partner, Rob DeFranco, and young adult author Barry Lyga on the project.
According to Publisher’s Weekly, the book is “set in a future world of environmental collapse and mass poverty, where a mysterious boy named Rose discovers he possesses inhuman powers that can irrevocably change the lives of everyone on the planet”.
The book is called After the Red Rain and is scheduled to be published by Little, Brown in the summer of 2015.
