Fallon welcomes second daughter

Jimmy Fallon and wife Nancy have welcomed daughter Frances Cole via surrogate.

The chat show host and his wife welcomed daughter Frances Cole via surrogate on Wednesday.

They are already parents to daughter one-year-old Winnie Rose, who was also born via surrogate.

“Frances Cole Fallon officially entered the world at 8:45 a.m. on December 3, weighing 5 lbs., 11 ounces and is 18.5 inches long,” the pair revealed via a statement to People.com.

Their new addition joins big sister, Winnie Rose, 1. The couple opted to keep their baby joy to themselves until their new daughter, Frances Cole, made her official debut. Both Fallon babies were born via surrogate.”

Jimmy previously opened up about his and Nancy’s quest to have children in an emotional interview with Glamour.com earlier this year.

In the interview, Jimmy, 47, revealed that he and his 40-year-old wife decided to keep their decision to involve a surrogate a secret, because they didn’t want to be disappointed again.

“Winnie was born last July. We kept the baby a secret, because too many times we'd told people and it didn't work out,” Jimmy told Glamour.com. “That's just crushing. We'd tried so hard for five years to have a kid, which probably isn't a lot of time compared to some people. But it was awful. An awful emotional roller coaster. My wife, I don't know how she did it—she's so strong. She's amazing.”

“But going through all that makes you realize what a miracle it is. We have a baby. This is what we wanted for five years. We can't believe it—everything is magical. She has these secret dimples that no one knows about. She's a killer.”
