Fans left unsatisfied as 'hoarse' Kanye West axes performance mid-show
Kanye West has been criticised by fans after cutting a gig short because his voice was "too hoarse".
The 39-year-old was booed by the crowd during the concert on Thursday night in Inglewood, California as he finished 20 minutes early citing a bad throat.
During a performance of Only One, West said: "Stop, stop. Turn the lights on."
Videos of the gig posted on social media show West telling fans: " I'm sorry, I cant let y'all have a show where I can't perform for you.
"I'm so hoarse. I can't finish the show.
"I'll give everyone a refund, I'll be better next time," he added.
Footage shows the singer being roundly booed as he waits for his suspended platform to return to the stage.
Members of the crowd criticised him on Twitter following the gig.
Ryan Dufour posted: "Kanye left The concert 20 minutes early because he had a sore throat and he didn't want to give us a bad show. I just saw Kanye bring Kanye."
Tino Truong wrote: "When you go to Kanye West's Saint Pablo tour and he doesn't even sing Saint Pablo and cancels instead."
However Tamara Dhia posted that West was "already 75%" through the show.
She added: "He just stopped. Said voice was shot, didn't to perform like that. Offered refunds."
West is currently around two thirds into his Saint Pablo Tour which started in August and is due to finish at the end of December.
