The Wanted say Max George acts like the "dad" in most situations.

Max and his bandmates Jay McGuiness, Nathan Sykes, Siva Kaneswaran and Tom Parker are known for their crazy antics on reality show The Wanted Life.

While they might seem like a rowdy bunch, one of them will always take control before things get out of hand.

"I most situations Max is [the dad of the group], but when we get into a business meeting, Tom is really good - even though he sounds like a binman. He looks out for us," Jay revealed to British magazine Star.

On The Wanted Life fans can watch their favourite boyband drink excessively and chat up gorgeous girls.

While Max might aim to stay sensible, he did slip up during a wild night in Los Angeles.

"It wasn't that we weren't aware we were being filmed, it was more that we were so intoxicated we didn't care," he admitted.

"I owe a massive thank you to our night cameraman; he saved my life one night. I went underwater in the middle of the night in the hot tub. He dragged my wrinkled naked body out."

Heartthrob Max has been linked to troubled actress Lindsay Lohan in the past.

She even visited the boys while they were in Los Angeles, but they don't think she will be on the show.

"She did pop over one night to see us all, but it was really brief," Max said.

"We bumped into her ex-boyfriend and he said she was in town and needed some support because she was down about her court case. We invited her round for a drink, which probably wasn't the best idea!"
