Felicity Jones: I'm a romantic

Felicity Jones can’t resist a happy ending and is a big fan of love stories.

The British actress has appeared in films that deviate from the typical happy-ending love story, such as Like Crazy and her latest venture Breathe In.

However, she also starred alongside Ed Westwick in feel-good movie Chalet Girl and can’t help but enjoy watching two characters find each other.

“You don’t always want to watch something depressing; I like a happy ending,” she smiled to Cover Media.

“I was watching Breakfast at Tiffany’s and they [the main characters] have to come together at the end! I’m a romantic at heart, so I always love a good love story.”

The 29-year-old discovered her love for acting at a young age and has always felt she would be “a part” of the industry.

Even if she wasn’t in films herself, she believes she would be involved in the movie world.

“It’s funny, as an actor I feel it’s so up and down and turbulent, I feel like if you didn’t want to do this 100% you wouldn’t survive! You have to have this blinkered belief, otherwise you’d have left ages ago,” she explained.

Felicity’s career is going from strength to strength and she will appear in the hotly anticipated The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

There are many females in the industry who have inspired her along the way.

“I really love Helena Bonham Carter; I love her diversity,” she enthused.

“I worked with Helen Mirren when I was younger, she’s a huge inspiration, and Meryl Streep is fantastic - everything she does, I love. There’s just those certain people that you see. They’ve all stuck to who they are and they’re strong, strong women.”
