Vanessa Feltz has lost 20lbs since undergoing gastric band surgery a few weeks ago, she revealed yesterday.

The broadcaster appeared on This Morning looking trim in a bold grey and yellow printed dress.

Speaking to Peter Andre and Kate Thornton, who were presenting the show, Feltz revealed she was back to work, against doctor's orders, just two days after surgery.

“I have lost 20lbs already,” she said.

Speaking about her decision to have the gastric band fitted and the fact she wanted to be open about having the procedure done, Feltz said she just wanted to “be honest”.

“I’ve presented lots of programmes where people have been very honest with me about their lives and feelings and I did not want to suddenly burst forward as this gorgeous size 14, and for people to think she must be dieting or exercising, I thought that would be deeply unfair and I wanted to tell the truth,” she said.

But Feltz conceded taking the confessional approach and baring all about her operation felt a bit odd.
