Tina Fey has dampened fears that Alec Baldwin is quitting hit comedy 30 Rock, insisting "we're all in this together until the end".
Funnyman Alec caused consternation among fans of the show after tweeting, "I think I'm leaving NBC just in time" when cameras from the network's Today Show turned up outside his New York apartment.
But Tina told US programme The View: "As far as I know, he's not leaving the show. We're all in this together till the end."
She added: "I think he just maybe means that the end of the show is visible on the horizon."
Tina admitted, however, that the hit show could not go on forever.
She said: "We can't do this for 35 years. We'd love to keep going and kind of see where everybody ends up, but you don't want to see me with a grey stripe [in my hair], eating a slice of pizza, going on dates."
Alec, who is enjoying a break in Rome with his new fiancee Hilaria Thomas, hit out at NBC when The Today Show sent a camera crew to his home after the arrest of a Canadian actress accused of stalking him.
