Fey: My kids have me on lockdown
Tina Fey is looking forward to attending the Emmy Awards so she can dress up.
The actress joked she hardly has time to make herself look attractive because she is overwhelmed with work and family.
“I gotta get out of the house. I have not combed my hair since the Golden Globes,” Tina laughed on The Late Show with David Letterman.
The 43-year-old presented the awards ceremony in February with former Saturday Night Live co-star Amy Poehler.
She is looking forward to her next awards bash because she has been spending too much time with her children, daughters Penelope, two, and Alice, seven, with husband Jeff Richmond.
“I’m home with the kids, which is great. But now, [I'm] a human napkin for the kids,” she quipped. “They just wipe their face on you.”
In her new comedy Admission, Tina plays an admissions officer at Princeton University who is dedicated to her work and little else.
She feels privileged to have such a successful career, although she admits she is often challenged by her craft.
“At first, I thought that there were scenes that were more emotional than I could ever do,” she confessed to suntimes.com.
“There are a lot of movie stars in the world. I’m always thrilled when I get offered anything.”
Tina’s show 30 Rock has nine nominations at the Primetime Emmy Awards which take place September 22.
Her co-star Alec Baldwin received a nod for Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series award while she could take home gong for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series.
