Tina Fey and her 30 Rock co-star Alec Baldwin made unprecedented wins at this year's SAG Awards.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards honoured the comedic actors for their work at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles Sunday night.

30 Rock is an extremely successful show, with Tina winning five SAG awards for her work in the programme and Alec taking home seven trophies in as many years.

The comedy series celebrates its final broadcast on Thursday and Tina is elated that 30 Rock will depart the airwaves with such accolades.

As she picked up her Best TV Actress in a comedy statue, Tina credited her friend and Golden Globes co-host Amy Poehler as being a huge source of inspiration.

"Our finale is on this Thursday at 8[pm] - up against The Big Bang Theory, so just tape The Big Bang Theory for once, for crying out loud!" she joked on the podium.

"I've stolen so many of your moves. I've known you since you were pregnant with Lena Dunham!"

Alec was equally elated with his Best Actor in a comedy TV series acknowledgment.

"This is ridiculous," the actor declared.

"This is the greatest experience I've ever had."

Modern Family won Best TV Ensemble, Comedy on the night.

Ben Affleck's historical political thriller Argo took the top nod of the evening, and is officially this year's Best Ensemble in a motion picture.

Anne Hathaway continues to impress with her role as prostitute Fantine in movie musical Les Misérables and has been dubbed the Best Female Actor in a supporting role.

Silver Linings Playbook actress Jennifer Lawrence will add another trophy to her mantel as she won the SAG Award for her leading role in the comedy drama.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards winners are chosen by the organisation's members.

The ceremony where actors honour their peers often indicates whether or not stars will be successful at the Academy Awards in February.
