Camila Cabello thinks Miley Cyrus' shocking MTV VMA outfits were cute.

The singer is part of girl group Fifth Harmony, and she and bandmates Ally Brooke Hernandez, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane Hansen and Lauren Jauregui have become one of the hottest acts in music.

Speaking about last month's MTV VMAs, Camilla has come out in full support of host Miley Cyrus, who shocked the audience with her drug and sex references.

"I don't think anybody is allowed to tell someone who to be, even if you don't agree with it," Camila told British newspaper Metro.

It wasn't just Miley's chat that was called into question; the singer also drew gasps for her barely-there wardrobe.

The 22-year-old modelled an array of clothing that showed off her tiny frame, including a Versace silver harness top that covered her nipples and not much else and a clear vinyl dress by Mamadoux, which had strategically placed coloured circles that left nothing to the imagination.

"I think her outfits were really cute. There was a colourful jumpsuit, which I would totally wear," Camila insisted.

The 18-year-old also spoke about the affinity she feels with One Direction. Like the mega successful British group, Fifth Harmony were manufactured on The X Factor (US version) from a group of rejected solo singers.

"When a group is put together like that, it's hard, creatively to find something you agree with. They're just like us; I imagine they all came in with different tastes in music, different ideas on what they want the group to be like. There are a lot of sacrifices to be made," she revealed.
