Finneran: what I'd do with jackpot

Siobhan Finneran stars in The Syndicate

Siobhan Finneran plays a lottery winner in drama The Syndicate - and the actress knows exactly what she'd do if she scooped the jackpot.

The Downton Abbey star - she recently appeared in the period drama as lady's maid Miss O'Brien - plays nurse Mandy in the second series of the bittersweet lottery drama.

"I think I would give up my job. I can understand people saying that they wouldn't and I love my job of course," the actress said.

"Maybe I'd just stop for a bit and hope that I could come back."

She added: "I'd also go on a massive shopping spree and buy a lot of shoes, there's no way you'd get me out of the shops."

Siobhan is also about to fly off to Spain for three months to film the next series of Benidorm.

"I have a lot of fun with Steve [Pemberton, her on-screen Benidorm husband]. At the moment we're sending weekly texts saying, 'I can't wait to be in the sun laughing my head off'," Siobhan, who plays Janice in the drama, said.

:: The Syndicate begins on BBC One on Tuesday, March 19.

Virgo:

Read the fine print on a contract. If you're not happy with the proposed terms of a deal, renegotiate. Don't be afraid to drive a hard bargain. You may not realise it, but you have a great deal of power. People are willing to pay good money for someone with your intelligence and experience. If you undersell yourself, you will set a dangerous precedent. Someone will ask you to do something that goes against your conscience. Obey your principles, even if it means making an enemy.More
