Colin Firth will be hoping to extend his winning streak just hours after landing a Golden Globe when the Bafta Film Award nominations are announced.
Colin is strongly fancied for the best actor prize for his portrayal of the stammering King George VI in The King's Speech - the role which led to his Globe triumph.
The annual awards - the biggest movie bash in the UK - will take place on February 13 at the Royal Opera House, in London, for the fifth year running.
The event, which will be screened on BBC One next month, attracts some of the biggest names in Hollywood as well as home-grown talent.
The shortlists will be unveiled at Bafta's headquarters in Piccadilly, London by screen stars Dominic Cooper and Talulah Riley.
Hotly-tipped movies which are expected to be included in the nominations - with their stars, directors and writers - are Black Swan, The King's Speech and The Social Network.
