Ford ‘hugs it out with Scott'
Harrison Ford fuels rumours he will appear in the Blade Runner sequel.
The Blade Runner actor reportedly fell out with the film's director while shooting the 1982 cult classic.
But UK newspaper The Sun reports the pair seem to be patching things up amid rumours the actor might reprise his role as bounty hunter Rick Deckard in the forthcoming sequel.
According to the outlet, Harrison and Ridley “talked shop” over a meal for four hours in London Tuesday night.
And diners were apparently stunned when the pair reportedly “parted with a hug” as they left Mayfair’s 34 restaurant.
The claims mark the biggest indication yet the Blade Runner sequel may be happening with Harrison back on board after Ridley signed on to direct the feature.
Producers behind the project have made no secret of their desire to have the movie star sign on, offering him the role in a press release last month.
“We would be honoured, and we are hopeful that Harrison will be part of our project," producers Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove stated, revealing that an official offer had been extended.
The pair declined to elaborate on the storyline for Blade Runner 2, only to say that it would take place “several decades after the conclusion of the 1982 original”.
Blade Runner co-writer Hampton Fancher is working on the sequel with screenwriter Michael Green.
Filming on the project is reportedly slated to get underway early next year.
