Franco's Break The Internet webchat

James Franco has taken up the mantle of trying to break the internet from Kim Kardashian in a fan webchat which included him getting amorous with a sock puppet.

The 127 Hours star took part for Paper magazine, which featured Kim's naked photoshoot on its cover and continued its Break The Internet campaign with the webchat which was themed #MakeJamesDo.

Fans were invited to join the chat and set tasks for the game-for-a-laugh star to complete - and he didn't disappoint, agreeing to snog a sock on his hand, wear a Santa hat and pink tutu while singing Happy Birthday Mr President, and paint a portrait of his regular co-star Seth Rogen using peanut butter and jam.

James, who introduced himself by saying: "I'm an actor, and maybe I do crazy things, or you think I do crazy things, so this is your chance to make me do whatever you want, and we'll see if you do any better with me," also acted out being a YouTube blogger giving an online make-up tutorial.

The star was taking a break from acting in and directing new comedy Zeroville, about a student who comes to Hollywood in the 60s with dreams of making it in the movies.
