Frank Ocean shot the Met Gala for Vogue
The singer expressed his gratitude to Vogue boss Anna Wintour on Tumblr.
R&B star Frank Ocean can add Vogue photographer to his resume after shooting last week's (01May17) Met Gala in New York City for the fashion bible.
The Thinkin Bout You hitmaker made a rare public appearance at the high-profile event, and the singer has now revealed he was actually working at the party after being given the task of cameraman for Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour to capture candid shots of the celebrities in attendance.
A gallery of his images have now been posted on Vogue.com, under the headline, "Frank Ocean's Photos of the Met Gala Capture the Intimacy of a Glittering Crowd".
One black-and-white snap features rapper A$AP Rocky planting a kiss on actress Gwyneth Paltrow's cheek, while in another, top fashion photographer Mario Testino receives a warm hug from a male friend.
Another shot depicts A$AP Rocky's rumoured girlfriend Kendall Jenner puckering up for Frank's Contax T3 35mm camera alongside her good friend and fellow model Bella Hadid, who sticks out her tongue for the cheeky picture.
He also photographed Jaden Smith and Naomi Campbell at the bash, while Frank himself appears in one image, in which he smiles alongside actor and dance star Ansel Elgort.
"Thanks Anna (Wintour) for letting me shoot the party," he wrote on Tumblr.
The photos emerge after Frank famously popped up in another celebrity's social media post following the gala on 1 May (17) after joining Kendall and her sisters Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian for a group shot taken in the bathroom at the prestigious Metropolitan Museum of Art event.
The image, snapped by Kylie, featured Kendall posing cheek to cheek with A$AP Rocky, as they were also surrounded by model Lily Aldridge, rap mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs, Oscar winner Brie Larson, and Paris Jackson.
