Freeman: Passion and puzzles keep me youthful
Morgan Freeman has revealed how he keeps himself young.
The actor may be 77, but he's still making movies. His latest is Lucy, in which he stars opposite Scarlett Johansson, who plays a woman who achieves maximum brain capacity after a drug gets into her bloodstream.
When asked by stern.de how he manages to stay so fit and youthful, Morgan was quick to answer.
"Sex, a lot of sex," he laughed. "I'm joking of course - a bit. I'm obsessed with solitaire. I play almost every day. I get up every morning, make a coffee and sit at the computer. If no one interrupts me, I'll play for the whole day."
It might not fit in with the Hollywood lifestyle, but The Bucket List star is happy with his hobbies. And the fun doesn't stop there.
"It gets more exciting!" he grinned. "I'm very good at solving crosswords. I've been doing that since I was eight.
"I still play golf, but I no longer sail as much. I do have a boat, but I keep it in the Caribbean and I don't get there a lot. But I don't want to complain. I'm slowly getting older and have to take things at a more leisurely pace these days."
Morgan seems to have sailed through his career as a respected actor with few scandals. He shared his life philosophy.
"You have to take things as they come," he advised. "And you shouldn't lose your sense of humour. That's important. Don't take yourself too seriously, because only fantasists believe no one is making fun of them."
