Gaga aids Murray with 'bucket list'

Bill Murray has ticked something big off his "bucket list" - meeting Lady Gaga.

The Grand Budapest Hotel actor confessed during an appearance on the Late Show in the US that he was desperate to meet the Applause singer, saying to host David Letterman: "I haven't done that yet. Is there any way?"

He was stunned when Gaga then wandered onto the stage, and posed for a selfie with both Bill and David.

David said he was surprised the pair hadn't met before and Ghostbusters star Bill replied: "No, I would have remembered."

Gaga then invited the pair to watch her perform at a nearby venue in New York.

"Hey what are you guys doing tonight?" she said. "I have a show across the street and if you want to come over I'll bring you, and I'll bring the audience."

The group then headed to the Roseland Ballroom, where the pop star treated them to two songs.

Bill, 63, also got to check off another item on his list when he performed a joke in David's place.
