Lady Gaga wanted her American Horror Story foursome to be “more explicit”, according to the show’s creator Ryan Murphy.

The 29-year-old singer stars in the upcoming fifth season of the hit US TV show, entitled Hotel.

And the series’ creator Ryan Muprhy has recalled just how delighted he was when he saw how eager Gaga was to give her scenes her all – regardless of how raunchy they were.

“She’s the only actress I think I’ve worked with who wanted to do more explicit stuff than was written,” Ryan told Entertainment Weekly magazine. “You write a foursome for her and you expect a lot of questions. She never did that. She showed up and she was wearing diamond pasties, a Band-Aid on her hoo-ha, heels, and a black veil that Alexander McQueen made for her on the day before his death. Then the crew gasped in delight and we were off!”

Gaga stars as a character called The Countess in the show, in which she stars alongside Matt Bomer.

And in a recent interview, Gaga insisted she had decided she would throw herself entirely into her new role

“This is my focus right now,” she told earlier this month. “I don’t view this as a side thing that I’m doing in between other things. Cramming things in just to be everywhere all the time is really not what I like. It’s not what makes me happy. So it was planned out for me to do one project at a time and give my full attention to each so I can enjoy myself.

“I can give myself fully to the cast. If I were to saunter in here and not show true value to the work that’s already been done, that would be a massive mistake because these actors have been working for years. They’re extremely talented. I walked in on my first day and I was like, ‘I am going to give all of myself.’”
