Lady Gaga has apparently defended Kristen Stewart in the wake of her cheating scandal.
The Bad Romance singer took to Twitter to say she felt for the Twilight actress, after it was reported that Kristen cheated on boyfriend Robert Pattinson with her Snow White And The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.
She tweeted: "Geez this kirstew rob stuff is brutal. Makes me sad the way press acts."
Gaga then added: "Hope they're ok."
The scandal erupted when Us Weekly published photos of Kristen and Rupert in its latest issue, showing the pair in steamy, compromising embraces.
Kristen then publicly apologised to her Twilight co-star R-Patz, saying her "momentary indiscretion has jeopardised the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob".
The 22-year-old continued: "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."
Her statement was quickly followed by an apology from the 41-year-old director, who has two children with his wife Liberty Ross. Rupert said he was "utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family".
R-Patz has yet to comment, but People reports that the British heartthrob has packed his bags and left the home he shared with Kristen in Los Angeles.
