Garth’s ‘racist club rejection’
Jennie Garth allegedly claims a popular Hollywood nightclub wouldn’t let her in because she was with three black men.
TMZ reports the 42-year-old Beverly Hills, 90210 actress visited a “wildly popular Hollywood club” looking for a good time, but the festivities ended in hostility.
Apparently Jennie went out with two white females and three black males, and the bouncers wouldn’t let her African-American friends in. She purportedly claims the venue’s security welcomed the three women behind the velvet ropes, but refused to allow the men to accompany them.
The outlet claims Jennie “left in a huff” after the alleged rejection and shortly after the incident she was photographed “appearing to cry and flipping off” photographers.
The nightclub contacted TMZ Tuesday afternoon to inform the website Jennie’s interpretation of what happened isn’t accurate.
"DBA has a very strict door policy and Ms. Garth and her entire group of friends were asked to wait in line for entry along with everyone else,” a spokesperson supposedly said.
“The group chose not to do so and left."
Jennie has spoken about being ticked off by insensitivity before.
Last year her divorce was finalised from Twilight actor Peter Facinelli, who is the father of her three daughters, Luca Bella, 15, Lola, 11, and Fiona, seven.
When her daughter Luca gave her a book for Christmas called Sh*t Happens So Get Over It, Jennie was hurt at first.
"I thought, 'Are you kidding me? I can't believe she's so insensitive,'" she told People magazine previously.
But Jennie later admitted it was just what she needed to move on from her 11-year marriage, and the incident inspired her to focus on career goals.
