Gemma Collins: I quit TOWIE to focus on me

Gemma Collins is spending her time "omming and meditating" now she's quit The Only Way Is Essex.

The 34-year-old star confirmed she was leaving the reality TV show last week, amidst rumours she might be heading into the jungle again for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! or the Celebrity Big Brother house.

She has now explained the real reason behind her decision - Gemma has started to question the meaning of life.

"I’ve found spirituality - and a millionaire who wants to buy me diamonds," she told British newspaper The Sun.

"When you hit your thirties you do become more questioning of life and start asking, ‘What is this all about?’ I want to mature and grow within. And now I don’t have to cope with the pressure of being a performing monkey, I think I’ll be able to do that.

“I’m right into spiritual stuff at the moment. I’ve been doing yoga, omming and meditating every day, and I’m really in a good place."

The blonde star also compared herself to Hollywood twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. The duo initially found fame on TV show Full House when they were children and are now world-famous fashion designers.

"I suppose that I’m a bit like Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen - there was only so long they were going to jump about for Disney before they said, ‘Actually, we want a life now,'" she explained.

"So that’s what I did. I killed off The GC [her alter ego] and decided to be Gemma, and now I feel free. I’ve had my hair extensions taken out and not worn make-up.

“It’s nice to not have the pressure of worrying about what I’m going to wear to some bar in Brentwood High Street, or the right lipstick colour."

The star has also found happiness in her personal life thanks to her new relationship with Sebastian Marc Graham, who she met in Spain. The pair are enjoying each other's company but aren't taking things too fast, with Gemma excited that she's found someone who can support himself.

"B****y hell, if there was an OBE for dating dodgy men, I would have it," she said.

“But I’ve promised my family now that I’ll stay away from dodgy geezers. Seb is really nice, so we’ll have a bit of fun going around London when he comes over. I’d just like to go on a few dates and see what happens."

The star also confirmed she'd love to try her hand at I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! again. She quit after 72 hours spent crying and wailing last year, including many outbursts about how hungry she was. She had been through a difficult period personally before heading to the jungle and insists things would be different this time around.

"I am comedy b****y gold, which is why I was good on the show," she insisted.

"Everything would be different a second time. I’d be like Lara Croft and Angelina Jolie rolled into one and I’d do the tasks. I’m not scared of nothing."
