Gemma Collins returning to I'm A Celebrity...?

Gemma Collins is rumoured to be negotiating a return to the jungle for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The TOWIE star famously headed to the Australian jungle for the reality TV show in November last year, but after 72 hours spent crying and wailing, she quit.

It's now been claimed bosses are desperate to get her to sign on the dotted line yet again, as they think she'd be a ratings winner.

"Although Gemma’s last stint in the jungle was a disaster, she made great TV," an insider laughed to British newspaper The Sun.

“Bosses are fascinated to see if she can overcome her fears and stay for the duration.

“Talks are at an advanced stage but Gemma is up for it and is desperate to prove she can stick it out.”

One of the main things the star couldn't handle when in the jungle was the hunger. Contestants are famously given miniscule amounts to eat, with Gemma declaring at one point: "Even murderers get fed three times a day!"

She eventually quit and later explained she'd had a tough time personally before her I'm A Celebrity... stint started. The star and her ex-boyfriend Alex Moss had been having heated arguments and she wasn't in the right mindset to be so far away from home.

She was criticised for collecting a fee even given her short appearance, but later insisted she'd only had a percentage and had given it to a children's charity.

In December, the star hinted she might be up for the jungle take two.

"I'd love to go back and do it all again, if I was in the right head space," she told TV show This Morning.

"It's enjoyable because you think you can challenge yourself and try something new, but the intensity of being in the jungle, unless you've been there, no one could ever imagine what it's like."

The news comes after Gemma was linked to a spot on Celebrity Big Brother. She is just one of many stars thought to have been lined up, among them the self-proclaimed world's first supermodel Janice Dickinson, former Hollyoaks and Love Island star Paul Danan and X Factor's engaged duo Stevi Ritchie and Chloe Jasmine.

The latest famous face added to the mix is presented Gail Porter, who apparently sees it as a way to get her life back on track after a difficult period including getting divorced and being diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

"Gail has had an absolutely hellish few years, both mentally and physically. It would be enough to finish anyone off," an insider told The Sun.

“But she is starting to come through it and feels ready to go into the house. It could be her path back into the limelight and resurrect her career."
